INGREDIENTS
¼ cup (67g) Selati White Sugar
¼ white vinegar
1 cup sliced vegetables, of choice
1 tbsp whole spice or herbs, of choice
METHOD
1. In a small saucepan, add the Selati White Sugar, vinegar, and ¼ cup of water and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring to ensure the sugar has dissolved.
2. Add the sliced vegetable of choice to a heatproof glass jar. Pour the hot pickling liquid into the jar and add the spice or herb of choice. *Chef’s Tip: Make use of any leftover veggies in the fridge!
3. Close the jar tightly with a lid and allow the pickling liquid to cool at room temperature before refrigerating for 3 hours or overnight.
4. Once the vegetables have been pickled, top the pickled vegetables onto any dish to add the perfect sweet and tangy crunch. Serve and ENJOY! *Chef’s Tip: Refrigerate for up to a month!
