INGREDIENTS
For the strawberry band:
1 cup strawberries, fresh
For the orange smoothie layer:
Ā½ cup mango chunks, frozen
1/3 cup pineapple chunks, frozen
Ā½ cup banana chunks, frozen
Ā½ cup full-cream yoghurt
Ā¼ cup oats
Ā½ cup Cappy Tropical
3-4 ice blocks
For the red smoothie layer:
1 cup strawberries, frozen
Ā½ cup full-cream yoghurt
Ā¼ cup oats
Ā½ cup Cappy Breakfast Blend
3-4 ice blocks
To garnish:
Granola
2 pineapple slices
2 strawberries
Each serving suggestion serves 4
METHOD
1. For the strawberry band: Slice strawberries width ways. Press these strawberry pieces against the inside of 2 glass jars ā to form a strawberry ābandā at the halfway mark of each jar. Set aside.
2. For the orange layer: Add 1/3 cup frozen mango, 1/3 cup frozen pineapple, 1/3 cup frozen banana chunks, Ā½ cup yoghurt, 1/4 cup oats, Ā½ cup Cappy Tropical and 3-4 ice blocks to a blender and blend.
3. For the red layer: Add 1 cup frozen strawberries, Ā½ cup yoghurt, 1/4 cup oats, Ā½ cup Cappy Breakfast Blend and 3-4 ice blocks to a blender and blend.
4. Assembly: Pour the orange smoothie mix into 2 glass jars until halfway filled, fill the glasses with the red smoothie mix. Top with a light sprinkle of granola, garnish with a piece of pineapple and a strawberry and ENJOY!
5. **For best result: chill the jars for 10 ā 15 minutes before topping with the red smoothie layer.
