Hands-on time: 15 minutes
Hands-off time: 30 minutes
INGREDIENTS
¾ cup (170g) butter
2½ tbsp NESCAFÉ CLASSIC Coffee
1½ cups light brown sugar
2 large eggs
1½ cups cake flour
½ tsp salt
Serving suggestion:
NESCAFÉ CLASSIC Coffee
Raspberries
METHOD
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C non-fan assist. Line and grease an 18cm square baking dish.
2. Add the butter to a medium pot over medium heat. While stirring, allow the butter to melt and brown, about 2-3 minutes. Once you get a toasted nutty smell, remove from the heat. *Chef’s Tip: The browning of the butter will add a subtle nutty flavour which will compliment the coffee bars beautifully.
3. Stir in the NESCAFÉ CLASSIC Coffee and the sugar until well combined and allow to cool for 5 minutes.
4. Whisk in the eggs, one at a time, and sieve in the flour and salt. Using a spatula, mix until just combined so as not to overmix.
5. Pour the mixture into the lined baking dish. Bake for 28-30 minutes or until just set in the centre. Allow to cool.
6. Slice evenly and serve with freshly brewed NESCAFÉ CLASSIC Coffee and raspberries and ENJOY!
