Peppermint Crisp Versus Tex Hot Chocolate Mousse


Serves 4 of each flavour

Hands-on time: 5 minutes

INGREDIENTS

For the Peppermint Crisp hot chocolate:

2 sachets (20g each) NESTLÉ Hot Chocolate Peppermint Crisp Flavoured Drink

1 cup (250ml) low-fat milk

¼ cup NESTLÉ Evaporated Ideal Milk, ice cold

For the Tex hot chocolate:

2 sachets (20g each) NESTLÉ Hot Chocolate Tex Flavoured Drink

1 cup (250ml) low-fat milk

¼ cup NESTLÉ Evaporated Ideal Milk, ice cold

METHOD

1. Heat up the milk in a small jug in the microwave until just warm, about 45-60 seconds.


2. Divide either 1 sachet of NESTLÉ Hot Chocolate Peppermint Crisp Flavoured Drink or 1 sachet of NESTLÉ Hot Chocolate Tex Flavoured Drink between 4 small espresso mugs. Divide the warm milk over the hot chocolate powder and stir to combine.


3. In a small chilled bowl, use an electric hand beater to whip the NESTLÉ Evaporated Ideal Milk until medium-stiff peaks form, about 3 minutes. *Chef’s Tip: Freeze the Ideal Milk 20 minutes before whipping to increase whipping ability!


4. Add half of either the second sachet of NESTLÉ Hot Chocolate Peppermint Crisp Flavoured Drink or NESTLÉ Hot Chocolate Tex Flavoured Drink to the whipped Ideal milk and use a spatula to gently fold the hot chocolate powder in until well combined.


5. Gently spoon the hot chocolate mousse into a piping bag with a medium star-shaped nozzle and evenly pipe it over the 4 espresso mugs of hot chocolate. *Chef’s Tip: If you don’t have a piping bag, then use a zip seal bag with the end snipped off!


6. Sprinkle the remaining hot chocolate powder over the hot chocolate mousse. Serve and ENJOY!
