Each fruit puree makes 16 ice cubes
INGREDIENTS
For the Orange puree:
3 oranges, peeled and sliced Ā½ cup water Ā½ lemon
For the Strawberry puree:
1 punnet strawberries Ā½ cup water Ā½ lemon
To serve:
1 shot of tequila 1 bottle of Schweppes Tropical Sunset Orange slices for the garnish Strawberries for the garnish Mint leaves for the garnish
METHOD
For the Orange puree:
1. Peel the oranges and separate the oranges into segments.
2. Place the orange segments into a blender topped with Ā½ cup of water.
3. Squeeze the lemon juice into the blender before blitzing into a smooth puree.
4. Strain the orange puree before pouring into an ice cube tray and freeze for 6 hours or overnight.
For the Strawberry puree:
1. Slice the stems from the strawberries and cut each strawberry in half.
2. Place the strawberries into a blender topped with Ā½ cup of water.
3. Squeeze the lemon juice into the blender before blitzing into a smooth puree.
4. Pour the puree into an ice cube tray and freeze for 6 hours or overnight.
To serve:
1. Place the strawberry ice cubes into a blender and blend into a slushie mixture. Pour the strawberry slushie into the bottom of a tall glass.
2. Place the orange ice cubes into a blender and blend into a slushie mixture. Pour the orange slushie over the strawberry layer in the tall glass.
3. Pour a shot of tequila over the layers and top with a bottle of Schweppes Tropical Sunset Citrus Blend Flavoured Drink.
4. Garnish with an orange slice, a strawberry and mint leaves.
5. Serve & ENJOY!
